FD US 29

eigenaar Douglas Heckrotte

Douglas schrijft:

“I have continued work on our US 29.  She is an unfinished hull imported from Holland back in the '50s and finished here by her first owner.  I don't know the factory or the town in Holland.  I do know she was one of several built by that yard since there were numbers stenciled on the plywood strips that formed the hull.  (It means that the yard precut the strips from patterns and that they had a mould to assemble the hull over.)  I wrote write-ups of previous work which were published in the Trapeze.*) I have now finished reveneering the exterior including much work to inner lamina and finished repairing the interior of the hull including two pairs of frames and additional stringers.  I have one more pair of frames, centerboard trunk top, cleanup, coating and varnishing to do before repairing the deck frame and installing the new deck.”
